There's some great music out there that I want to share with everyone because I think they're under heard and under appreciated...
RUSH: Armour and Sword
The whole album is pretty fantastic, but this track from it expresses a number of ideas that strike hard at the heart of social work. The song discusses how much we damage one another, especially children, and as we grow we move further away from each other as well as our inner lives. We build things that are meant to help us (such as religion) but in the end these things backfire and become "dark and burning swords". The result is us fighting for our place in the world we live in, content to believe that there must be something further on after this life that's better.
